Story One
Continuity Plan:
Getting set-up for future growth, change and planning.

A client approached us with a thought that’s been occupying her mind: how could the company be set up in such a way to prepare for a situation where she may need to step away from the business?

If her husband had to jump in and takeover the company, where would he begin? How would he begin? How would he know what to do?

✅ Create an operations toolbox.
Set up a simple, centralised place to house all business operations information, including a 30 000 foot overview of the businesses and process. At any time, anyone can have a full overview to jump in and takeover.✅ Create simple, automated workflows.
Create simple, automated sequence and workflows: Plot out each step, action and communication touchpoint throughout each phase, and add in personalised automations. -
… and are enhancing communication sequences and workflows so that she can spend more time focusing on business development and growth!

This is a dream project, where we get to create solutions for clients that:
- require little management;
- are easy to replicate and explain;
- can be understood by anyone needing to ‘plug in’
- give founders the freedom to focus on other parts of the business
Story Two
System Switch:
New Customer Relationship Management

Our client is a scale-up business in the FinTech space.
They needed to switch CRMs system, to leverage the existing customer database of a sister company in the same holding group.

Move existing CRM to HubSpot, including:
- data transfer;
- process development & setup;
- team training & change management.
The project required in depth cross-company coordination within the group, to ensure compliance (POPIA) and team satisfaction was achieved across the board. -
A foundation was created to launch a joint marketing campaign, including a successful email run to over 16,000 leads.
The team can now:
✅ Run lead generation (including website leads) through Hubspot
✅ Track active deals, monitor progress and communication with each lead
✅ Track and manage post sale on-boarding
✅ Manage active customer relationships
✅ Track engagements across various external communication channels
✅ Run internal customer and lead email and marketing campaigns

In parallel to the above project, we ran a mentor support program with the new Customer Success Operations Manager. This program has enabled this CS specialist to comfortable grow into a team leader over a 3-month period.

We worked our operational magic, did the heavy-lifting and have effectively worked ourselves almost completely out.
This has created space for team expansion to continue working from a solid foundation where there is clarity, functionality and cohesion.
Story Three
Breaking even:
Bootstrapped from inception, to breaking even in 6 months.

sunday began as a desire by David and Kait to 'go it alone', harnessing their skills in business operations to support startups in a way that felt successful for everyone involved.

It started with a sharing of ideas over a coffee - I was already running my own one woman consultancy, David was keen to hear my story. From this meeting, a clear synergy was formed, and a collaboration was born.

After 3 months of time dedicated to strategic thinking, we had a clear vision, culture, service offering and brand. A few weeks later the website was launched, and our networking began.

Over a 3 month period, deliberate and tactical connections were formed to generate the first revenue. While the business continues to expand, after only 6 months, the business broke even, paying off all foundational debt, paying salaries and recording a profit.
